Ok ok ok, I have to say this has to be one of my favorite recipes. It’s quick, easy cleanup, and it keeps money in the pocket. I use nut milk quite often, and oat milk itself can be expensive when store-bought. That being said, I opted in for purchasing a bag of rolled oats (which lasts me forever), and got down to business.
- 1 cup GF rolled oats
- 4 cups cold filtered water
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (or sub 2 dates as a natural sweetener)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Pinch sea salt
Combine all ingredients and blend in blender for 30 seconds – 1 minute. Strain through a reusable nut milk bag into a large bowl, then transfer to your favorite glass jar (or strain from funnel to glass jar). Use within a few days.
